"Planted Sin" is a book art-object project created by Kristina with an intent to speak about the metaphors of the biblical philosophy and religious misinterpretations.

From early age in western culture we been told that we all are sinful, that we all carry the sin within from which we have to heal and constantly change ourselves following idols and many various other cultural and religious icons... Giving our freedom away.
This book art-object is trying to deepen into these crucial questions we all struggle to find answers-
Who am I? Why am I sinful? What is a sin in first place? And... is it so bad after all?
A tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in a sacred garden of Eden. A plant, same as our spine streching throught the axis of the Bible ("book of our life" and culture), holding it in place, growing together and producing one fruit. I wanted to raise the awareness, that all this story is only an allegory. Allegory which starts straight after this ancient book is opened.
What is sin? The original word "sin" means - to miss, to be left, sinister... SEEN, but not answered and reacted.
It does not mean to commit something wrong; it simply means to miss, to be absent.
The Hebrew root for the word sin, means to miss. It is up to us whether we miss and do not learn from our mistakes or we rise above all and learn our lives.
It is in a core of all of us. It is not only religious teaching, it is the teaching of nature itself. We all have potential to learn BOTH good and evil, reaching the balance point in us. We all have potential to grow and out-stand the teaching itself. It is only mind, that likes to divide, control... Differentiate between experiences labeling them as good or evil when instead it should unite them both and look through wider angle point-of-YOU.
And then guestion rises... Is that sin is so negative? So bad that we have to constantly neglect it instead of embracing it and letting it go? Like this tree in the spine of Bible itself, it can produce healthy and healing fruits of knowledge if not understood literally, so do we can reach balance in our nature- bible- BE a BELL. El. To become living God, a music of Creator... Stopping to take our lives too material and literal. If letting more magic of nature to happen in us and stopping neglecting our power of love.
I planted my own tree in a gardens of my life giving it freedom to grow and teach me lessons of my own memory. In the core of me.
